OPPOTUNITY STATEMENT
How can we introduce a tailored and accessible support system that enhances post-disaster mental well-being for elderly individuals on a long term span, while simultaneously fostering social engagement with this demographic?
MY DESIGN SOLUTION
A site where encourages collaboration between three parties: the elderly, the care providers, and policy makers to addresses the emotional, cognitive, and social needs of the elderly after a disaster. It takes the form of a multifaceted valley that operates as both a therapeutic landscape and a collaborative community space.

Social Corners

Areas within the valley designed for social interaction, allowing elders to form and maintain connections with peers, volunteers, and caregivers through group activities and community events.

Learning Hubs

Cottages offering live and on-demand workshops focus on skill enhancement and personal interests to support elders' careers and lives as they transition out of the valley, providing long-term support for their continued development.

Policy Roundtables

Roundtable discussions where policymakers, elderly users, and caregivers can come together to discuss and brainstorm solutions to ongoing issues, ensuring that policy development is a collaborative process.
